An empty buyer-title list hides nobody. Each list holds up to 1,000 titles.
How a title matches
A title matches when its words appear in the job title, side by side or in the same order with other words between them. A match never starts in the middle of a word. Excluded titles match whole words only, so they never hide someone by accident:
Buyer titles also let their last word be the start of a longer word, so a list
written as
Sales Lead or Cyber keeps finding people:
- Capitals, accents and punctuation do not matter:
AMLmatches “BSA/AML Officer”. - Singular and plural are the same word:
Partnermatches “Partners”. - Co-roles, feminine forms and compound titles count:
Foundermatches “Cofounder”,Présidentmatches “Présidente”,Leitermatches “Vertriebsleiter”. - To match the start of a word in an excluded title, end it with
*:recruit*hides “Recruiter”, “Recruiting” and “Recruitment”. - Buyer titles also accept a one-letter typo, such as “Marketinh”. Excluded titles never do.
When a change applies
A change applies to everyone already in your workspace within seconds. You do not need to run an import again. Nothing is deleted. A person hidden by a title comes back as soon as you remove that title. The lists also decide who your next ingestion runs bring in. Adding a buyer title today shows the matching people you already have, but it cannot show someone no run ever brought in.From the API
