# Search LinkedIn People

> Find someone on LinkedIn by name, to follow them at a competitor

Search LinkedIn people by name. Use it to follow someone tied to a competitor whom the team
search does not find: an account executive your job titles missed, an investor, a partner
or an advisor. Pick a hit and pass its `linkedinUrl` as `linkedin_url`, with a
`relationship`, to [Add Competitor Team Member](https://docs.clustr-ai.com/api-reference/add-competitor-team-member.md).

>
> Results are cached for a day and requests are rate-limited per workspace (`429` when you
> go over). `q` needs at least 3 characters. Send `company` to narrow a common name.
