# Dismiss a Person

> Permanently silence one person across the feed, digest and alerts

Permanently dismiss **one person** from competitor monitoring. They disappear from the Signals feed, the digest and the critical alerts, including interactions that have not been collected yet.

That forward-in-time scope is why it keys on the person rather than on an interaction, and why it is a different action from [snooze](https://docs.clustr-ai.com/api-reference/snooze-competitor-interaction.md). Use it for people who will never be relevant: your own staff, recruiters, the competitor's investors.

Reversible with [undismiss](https://docs.clustr-ai.com/api-reference/undismiss-competitor-target.md), and listable with [the dismissed list](https://docs.clustr-ai.com/api-reference/list-dismissed-competitor-targets.md). Idempotent: a repeat dismiss keeps the original timestamp and actor.
